Coin Information:

In 2017 The Royal Mint issued a Remembrance Day £5 coin for the first time, to honour the sacrifices of all those who have risked and continue to risk their lives to protect freedom. The reverse features a design by Stephen Taylor symbolic of the flowers John McCrae would have seen when he wrote ‘In Flanders Fields’. The design also features colour printing for the first time on a £5 coin to highlight the vibrant red in the poppies.
