All coins mentioned deserve the recognition received. However Snowman in my judgement would be a overall worthy winner

100 years from the end of the great war. The Remembrance coin is an outstanding design commemorating virtually the most important event!

Great video Change-Checker team (plus the monthly updates you do are always of interest and well presented, hope they continue through 2019). I voted for the “R” 10p as the A-Z theme has captured the imagination and added to the fun of collecting from change (and difficult to find which is part of the challenge), plus probably brought more people into the hobby.

Thanks for the kind words Jim. We really enjoy filming our newsletters and sharing the top news and stories from the past month. I’m so glad you voted for ‘R’ (not that I’m biased or anything!!). Looking forward to seeing the results next week! Thanks, Rachel

It’s 2018, it has to be the Remembrance coin. Regardless of the design, this is the coin that we should all want to win. 100 years…

I have three of the 50p Kew gardens in my collection, I got them in the year they was released, as I worked in the cashiers and was a coin collector at the time,I have also got three of the 20p undated coins,so I don’t want them re-realist again unless they have the date 2019 and not the date they was released originally.

    • Rachel Hooper on November 29, 2018 at 8:24 am

That’s an amazing collection you’ve got there! The new coins will be dated 2019 so it won’t affect the scarcity of the original coins 🙂

It teaches all of us a lesson of the sacrifices made by others for us!

My favourite was the Frankenstein £2 but it wasn’t listed, so I voted for my second choice.

    • Rachel Hooper on November 28, 2018 at 5:00 pm

We’ve now shortlisted the coins and unfortunately the Frankenstein £2 didn’t make the cut. It is a lovely coin though.

as 2019 is 50 years of the 50p why not reissue early ones like kew gardens

  12. Philip Marsh on November 28, 2018 at 4:16 pm

Pity in Bournemouth we don’t seem to get any of the new coins. Why is this?

    • Rachel Hooper on November 28, 2018 at 4:19 pm

That’s a shame Philip. The 50p coins are starting to turn up now so hopefully you’ll find some soon.

Simply a brilliant design, that really captures the whole feel of the Snowman story

Beautiful design or the iconic flower the poppy and a beautiful coin to remember all our brave men that gave their lives to give us the freedom we enjoy today.
