Stunner on Wednesday. Came home from Uni and was at a church event for the young people, and I was posted on Tuck Shop! Found an Olympic Badminton 50p, a Jersey 10p and a Tom Kitten 50p, before packing everything away into the cupboard where I found three round pounds! Tip 11- get near a tuck shop if you can!
That’s fantastic! You were really lucky Angus and what a great tip!
Hi is there anywhere to find a list of what is in a collection ie Olympics Book characters etc ,
Many thanks
Hi Maggie, you can see the commemorative coins for each denomination on the Change Checker web app: http://www.changechecker.org/app.aspx
The heading of your article would appear to say that the Snowman and Gruffalo 50p coins were issued for circulation and that they can be found in change. is this correct?
I thought that they were only issued in Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated
Hi Vincent, the Snowman and Gruffalo 50ps were issued as collector’s editions only so can’t be found in your change, but they are certainly very popular coins with families and alongside the Beatrix Potter 50ps, these coins have encouraged younger generations to take an interest in coins, which is why they have been mentioned in the blog.
