Change Checker LIVE Coronation 50p Swap! Join us at the New Forest Show…
In celebration of King Charles III’s Coronation this year, the UK’s FIRST EVER Coronation 50p has been issued, and we’ll be swapping it at the New Forest Show!
We know that this coin will be entering circulation later in 2023, but a special Crowned Portrait obverse design has been issued just for collectors – and we want to give you the chance to own one for face value!
This version of the coin won’t be found in your change, but you can add it to your collection by swapping an old 50p for the brand new one when you join us at our next Change Checker Live Event.
Join us at the New Forest & Hampshire County Show from Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th July and bring along ANY UK 50p coin to swap for the 2023 King Charles III 50p with the special Crowned obverse!
The New Forest & Hampshire County Show
The event is an annual three day agricultural show held near Brockenhurst in Hampshire. Whilst show jumping is a major feature, several other livestock competitions also take place. Visitors can enjoy a wander around the trade stands as well as sample some local food and drink.

The show is rated among the top ten agricultural shows in the country and a visit from Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh in 2012 boosted its profile to new heights. Considering the show’s popularity and rich heritage, we simple had to make it the destination for our next coin swap.
Swap ANY 50p coin for the 2023 Coronation 50p
We’ll be bringing a limited number of 2023 Coronation 50ps to the show each day to be swapped for ANY 50p coin. This means that you can get your hands on the Coronation 50p with the special crowned obverse for face value!
Swaps will be limited to one per person on a first come first served basis, whilst stocks last.

Such is the popularity of our Live Coin Swaps and to ensure that it is fair for everybody, we’ll be limiting the number of swaps to strictly 1 swap per person.
Can I reserve a coin before I arrive?
To ensure it is a fair swap event for everyone, we do not offer reservations of coins. It is a strictly first come first served basis.

Commemorate 75 years of the Windrush Generation
A UK 50p coin was issued to commemorate 75 years since HMT Empire Windrush docked in Tilbury, Essex.
The design is a tribute to the important story of the passengers aboard the Windrush vessel in 1948, featuring two people of the Windrush Generation against a background of the Union flag.

In January 2023, the 75 Years of the Windrush Generation 50p made an appearance in the 2023 Annual Coin Set – the first of its kind to feature King Charles III on the obverses!
And now, collectors can own this coin individually in Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
HMT Empire Windrush
On the 22nd June, 1948, the famous ship arrived in the Essex dock after stopping in Trinidad, Jamaica, Mexico, Cuba and Bermuda.

Many of those aboard sought work and a new life in their destination, England. This was during a period where the UK faced economic collapse and needed more workers to rebuild the country after the war.
Since the Second World War, the Windrush Generation have helped shape modern British culture and society. To commemorate, Windrush Day is held on the 22nd of June each year – marking the date the ship disembarked.

NEW Mosaic of Canadian Icons Coins commemorate Her Late Majesty
Can you find a connection between a polar bear, a moose and a hockey stick?
They’re all Canadian icons of course! And they all feature on this brand new set of Canadian coins.
Whilst Canadian collectors would normally be able to find these coins in their change, this year the Royal Canadian Mint has struck a limited number of sets for collectors only! Find out why below…
Exclusive Canadian 50 Cent
This stunning 6 coin set of 2023 dated collector’s edition coins includes the circulating Canadian coin denominations such as the dollar, 25 cent and of course, the 50 cent.
But, what’s really caught the eye of collectors is the fact the 50 cent has been issued with selective colour especially for this set.
Featured on the 50 cent is a patriotic red and white mosaic of icons, forming the most famous Canadian emblem of the all – the maple leaf. Although each icon differs vastly, they all serve as true representations of the country.

Perhaps most interestingly, these coins are not set to enter circulation this year…
The reason why?
The coins in this set feature Queen Elizabeth II’s effigy on the obverse. The Royal Canadian Mint have announced that they will not issue any 2023 dated Queen Elizabeth II coins into circulation, meaning this set is a collector exclusive!
In fact, just 30,000 sets have been issued worldwide, including a double-dated obverse to commemorate the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
As well as featuring Her Late Majesty’s portrait, these coins also include four pearls symbolising the four Queen Elizabeth II effigies that have graced Canadian coins.
International demand for QEII coins on the rise
We’ve recently seen an increase in international demand for coins featuring Queen Elizabeth II, with collectors worldwide rushing to secure commemorative keepsakes.
Canada 2023 Collector’s Coin Set
Earlier this year, The Royal Canadian Mint issued a limited edition collector’s set marking the end of Queen Elizabeth II’s circulating coinage.

To honour their Head of State for the past 7 decades, the Royal Canadian Mint issued a new $2 coin – their first ever circulation coin to feature a black nickel design! It was even available in a special collectible wrap roll containing 25 of the unique coins.
