The Royal Mint sparked great excitement with the surprising announcement of the release of 26 BRAND NEW 10p coins into circulation in 2018. Their theme is the A-Z of Britain and these are the first ever commemorative UK 10p coins. This 10p features fish around the letter ‘F’ surrounded by chips. Fish and Chips first appeared in Great Britain in the 1860’s, by 1930 there were more than 35,000 Fish and Chip shops across the UK. 220,000 were issued in 2018 and 84,000 were issued in 2019.
