This £2 coin was initially released as part of The Royal Mint’s 2020 Annual Coin Set. It commemorates the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, which saw the beginning of the end of the Second World War. This coin features a reverse design of people cheering with the engraving ‘Victory in Europe’, by Dominique Evans. HM Queen Elizabeth II’s fifth portrait, by Jody Clark, features on the obverse.
