This coin was issued in 2020 as part of the first instalment of a nine-coin series celebrating the silly old bear, Winnie the Pooh. This 50p was the third in the series and it features the soft-spoken, s-s-steady friend Piglet, accompanied by a dandelion and honey bee. These coins were designed by The Walt Disney Company from the original illustrations by E. H. Shepard in the original books. The obverse features a portrait of HM QE II by Jody Clark.
